How does a referral work?

Find a business or job you like, tap Refer a lead, and share the name and contact details of someone who genuinely needs it. The business is notified straight away and updates the status as things progress.

What do the referral statuses mean?

Pending means the business has not looked at it yet. Accepted means they are working the lead. Completed means it turned into real business and your reward is released. Rejected means it was not a fit — no reward is paid.

Who can see my referral?

Only you and the business or job poster you sent it to. Lead contact details are never shown publicly or to other members.

Why was my lead blocked as a duplicate?

You can only send the same contact to the same business or job once. You also cannot refer a lead to your own business or your own job post, or to a job that is already filled or closed.

How much can a reward be?

Rewards are fixed by the business or job poster and capped at $50 per referral, so they stay small, fast and friendly for local businesses.

When do I get paid?

The moment a business marks your referral as completed, the reward lands in your LoopLocal balance. You can request a cash out from the Wallet page at any time.

Does LoopLocal take a cut?

Joining, listing, browsing and messaging are free. We take a 10% service fee out of a reward only when a referral is completed and paid. Cashing out to your bank is free.

How do I cash out?

Open Wallet and tap Cash out. You need at least $1 in your balance, a verified identity and a saved bank account. Requests go to our team for review and you are notified when they are approved or declined.

Can I get a record of my earnings?

Yes. The Wallet page has a download that gives you a spreadsheet of every reward, fee and cash out, which you can hand to your accountant.

Can I change my account type?

Yes — head to Settings. Businesses can also add a business page with services, a cover photo, contact details, opening hours and their referral reward.

I forgot my password. What now?

On the sign-in page tap Forgot password and we email you a reset link. Links expire after a while, so ask for a fresh one if it says the link is no longer valid.

Why do I need to verify my identity?

Identity checks keep payouts safe and are required before you can cash out. You submit your legal name, date of birth, country and a photo of your ID. Documents are stored privately and only you and our review team can open them.

Can I add extra sign-in security?

Yes. Settings has an option to turn on an authenticator app code at sign-in, and you can turn it off again after confirming.

Can I download or delete my data?

Settings has Download my data, which builds a file with your profile, referrals, reviews, saves, follows, alerts, payout details and issues. You can also delete your account, which removes your profile, photo and ID document.

How do ratings work?

After a referral is completed, both sides can leave a 1–5 star rating with a short comment. Averages show on profiles so everyone can see who is reliable, and the person reviewed can post a public reply.

Someone is behaving badly. What do I do?

Use Report on their page to tell our review team, and Block to hide them from your messages and from following you. You can unblock anyone later from Settings.

A reward was not paid. Can I dispute it?

Yes. Open the referral and tap Raise an issue. Our team reviews it and both sides are notified when there is an outcome.

How do I post a job?

Tap Post a job from the Discover page, add a title, description, city and the reward you'll pay. Every job gets its own page you can share anywhere.

Can I close a job once it is taken?

Yes. My jobs lets you mark a post as filled or closed. Closed and filled jobs stop accepting new leads and drop out of the feed.

How does the local feed decide what is near me?

Accepted Answer

Discover can use your device location to sort by distance, and Settings lets you set the search distance you care about. Without location we simply show the newest posts.

Question 21

Will I be told when something happens?

Yes. The bell shows new leads, messages, reviews, follows and money movements in real time, and you can allow desktop alerts from Settings.

Question 22

Can I install LoopLocal on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open the site in your phone browser and choose Add to home screen. It then opens like a normal app, with shortcuts to Discover, Messages and Wallet.
